Equine Canada is
coordinating the qualification process for Canadian Young Riders, it is
hoped that each province in Canada would be able to send a team (minimum
of 3 Riders preferably 4 Riders with an alternate) ranked and selected
by Equine Canada Canadian Reining Committee in accordance with the Team
Selection Criteria. If a province can not make a full team Equine Canada
has the option to "pool" Riders to form a regional team or in an
instance where a pooled team can not meet the required 3 Riders then
under the NAJYRC criteria the province can send a maximum of 2
individual riders. Equine Canada will be honoring those riders that
qualified under last year's criteria at the Eastern and Western
Affiliate finals.
Additional Young Riders can qualify between April,
2009 and June, 2009 this year at an Equine Canada (PSO) sanctioned
class. Quarter Horse, Appaloosa and Arabian Associations are also able
to submit scores for qualification to a team. Full Criteria employed by
